Union Station was its usual beautiful self and because we were traveling first class, we got to hang out in the first class lounge where the conductor personally greeted before our tram ride to the train.
Our first day saw many beautiful beaches, wildlife and sections of California you just can't see except by horse or train. In the first photo, Randy picked out some of his favorites!

Actually, the pics from above include Day 3 with our arrival in Seattle at 9:05 p.m. Saturday night. We took a local train down to SeaTac airport, picked up our rental car (a Chevy Impala) and we checked into a Super 8, all 4 of us in one room! Other than changing rooms because the first one smelled like someone with Dorito breath was breathing on us, things went well. More later on Day 4 in Seattle!
Smallest rooms ever. Looks like you guys are having fun. Peeta has seen more of the country than me and he's a freaking gnome. Boo.
ReplyDeleteI think no one is commenting because unlike you guys most of us are at work and too busy to keep track of your carefree retired vacation life. :-) and were are all just jealous. Looks Like you guys are having a great time.
