Day 4- Seattle All Day!
Lots of fun today!! We started off by going to the Boeing air museum where we saw dozens of historic air and space craft, including a walk thru of the original Boeing 707 Air Force One used by Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon (We even took a pic of the crapper used by all these high flyers!!!) We also walked through the last Concorde SST supersonic jetliner. The museum's movies were great with comfortable seats and good acoustics that muffled our snoring... well, Melanie's snoring at least. Mel and Peeta also ran into one of Peeta's small fry friends who just happened to be hitching a ride with another Boeing tourist who stowed him away in her purse too!!
Air Force One and Concorde photos....
(Note the unique spelling of "public," aided by the conveniently placed light pole!!)
Next, we went to the the popular Pike Market Place where we also saw the famous Pike Fish market where every fish is THROWN to the guys behind the counter whenever a purchase is made! (Look for the "flying fish" in mid-air in front of the green pole in one of the pics!) Note too, the panhandler in the trash can with a sign that reads "Spare some cash for some poor white trash." Finally, the last pic is looking straight up a 15 or 20 story building in the downtown area.
Before we left the Market Place, Bill found a "collectibles" store and spent $120 buying original editions of the Dec 8th, 1941 newspaper announcing the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor, as well as original newspapers of astronaut John Glenn returning to earth after being the first American to orbit the earth; and another covering the splashdown of Apollo 11, the first-ever manned mission to the moon! We finished up the day by going to the movies and seeing the latest "X Man" movie. It was great! Be sure to see it!
Tomorrow we visit a friend from high school in Bremerton who is making breakfast for the 4 of us, and then it's on to Vancouver, BC!!
More to follow late tomorrow night!

Looks like fun. It also looks refreshingly crisp, unlike the 105's we've got going in Vegas. Miss you all.
